We are a passionate group of individuals, members and volunteers, residents of USA and Indian Subcontinent, driven to make impact, that can be sustained and scaled. Al-Barr Foundation has been incorporated in the state of Washington within the rules and regulations of WA non-profit corporation Act. The Al-Barr Foundation is USA based 501 (C) (3) approved non-profit charitable organization with Tax exempt ID: 85-3964369. It is established to fulfill our responsibility and service towards humanity regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, location, religion, color, cultural diversity and social background, with a special focus on the majority of the population lives below the poverty line and remain under-served

The Al-Barr Foundation is dedicated to providing benevolent assistance in the field of education, healthcare, hunger, emergency relief and other social welfare services to alleviate the poverty of underprivileged people around the globe with significant focus to the Indian Subcontinent and Washington State. Every dollar contributed by donors is used as efficiently as possible to maximize the impact. Our due diligence process of tracking, monitoring, and allocating donations to our projects on the ground catalyzes the society and uplift some of the most impoverished communities. We carefully monitor our administrative and fundraising expenditures to optimize efficiency and ensure control and transparency. All of your generous donations are tax deductible.

Al-Barr Foundation believes that ensuring socioeconomic development for the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society is the most significant step towards poverty alleviation and human development.

Al-Barr Foundation emphasize more on educational development programs such as technical and vocational training programs that support youth and children to get connected with rest of the world to understand the important concerns at each level of their life and live with dignity.

 

Al-Barr Foundation provides scholarships for school and college going students for higher studies; also arrange public workshops and conferences to educate the community and create awareness on healthcare and education. Providing quality education is the only medium that can improve the living standards of the poor people. Because education is the most powerful tool, which can equip them to make informed and prepare them to take decisions of their lives for future development also it is the only weapon to fight poverty and truly empower the youth and children.

 

Al-Barr seeks to achieve socioeconomic development through education & training to unleash the power of knowledge which is inaccessible to millions. An undergraduate from UW and Disease Research Specialist with King County. Passionate activist and volunteer. She has volunteered in Homeless shelters  and keenly aware of the problem in Seattle. She specializes in public Health and advises the board for the same

Uzma Naureen

Voluntary Intern / Advisor

An undergraduate at the University of Calcutta pursuing BA.LL.B Hons. degree. Passionate human rights activist and environmental activist. She has interned under Clifford Chance and researched various climate change related laws and reviewed contracts. Under the supervision of a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, she learnt to draft various contracts and submitted case briefs for current High Court orders and State Administrative Tribunals of India.

A Graduate with Economics; Senior Government Official under West Bengal Civil Service functioning as Joint Commissioner, Revenue (Enforcement). He adds value to the organization by providing financial-legal guidance in India and consolidating the outreach programs in the identified zones.
